General information for students 

List of Erasmus incoming students 2007 - 2012


1.
 Check, please,  if your home university belongs among Erasmus partners of the STU. If you found your home university among our Erasmus partners, check if the agreement is still valid. If the egreement is valid you can proceed to the next step. If your university is not our Erasmus partner, or validity of the agreement has expired, you can you can ask your home university Erasmus coordinator to initiate extension of the agreement or signing of a new Eramus agreement.

2.  Fill in Application Form (use PC, handwritting is not accepted).
Your home university Erasmus co-ordinator must sign and stamp your application form. Application form without signature and stamp will be not accepted.

3.  Fill in Learning Agreement  (use PC, handwritting is not accepted).
Specify details on courses, you plan to study. 
Study programs and courses taught at the STU in Bratislava.
Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava provides education in the Slovak language. Some courses are provided also in the English. 
Your university representatives responsible for your study program abroad must sign and stamp your Learning Agreement. Learning Agreement without signature and stamp will be not accepted.

4.  Attach transcript of records of your previous study 
Your transcript of records will provide us the information on your study specialisation details.

5.  Attach copy of your health insurance
Arrange your health insurance for stay abroad. You never know what can happen (tooth-ache, accute appendix,...)   

6.  Your university Erasmus coordinator must send all your materials (3. Application Form, 4. Learning Agreement, 5. Transcript of Records, 6. copy of health insurance) with signed and stamped nomination letter to the Erasmus Institutional Coordinator of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Erasmus co-ordinators of the STU

7.  What happens when nomination letter with all your materials arrives to STU Erasmus Institutional Coordinator?
STU Erasmus Institutional Coordinator will send all your materials (Application Form, Learning Agreement, Transcript of Records) to the faculty you have chosen, with request to make decision of the faculty on your acceptation or refusal for Erasmus exchange study stay. 
When faculty evaluates your materials and decides on your acceptation or refusal, the faculty writes decision letter to STU Eramus Institutional Coordinator.
STU Eramus Institutional Coordinator can issue official acceptation letter. Acceptation letter will be sent directly to your e-mail address.  

8.  EILC - Erasmus Intensive Language Course
You can attend Erasmus Intensive Language Course organised befor winter semester and before summer semester. First of all you have to choose one of the institutions offering EILC courses in Slovakia. Your university Erasmus co-ordinator must send your application form via e-mail to the institution you have chosen for EILC in Slovakia. 
You can individually arrange your Slovak language course during study stay in Bratislava.  

9.  Accommodation at the STU student houses
Accommodation is provided by Student Houses Office in Bratislava. Student Houses provide accommodation directly. Do not contact Erasmus Institutional Coordinator or any other contact persons. 
For accommodation in the Student Houses in Bratislava follow instructions: accommodation in the STU student houses. Send Accommodation reservation form to Elena Trochtova - elena.trochtova@stuba.sk.
For accommodation in the Student House in Trnava (Faculty of Material Sciences and Technology) contact, please, Maria Resetkova - maria.resetkova@stuba.sk and send a copy (Cc) to zuzana.popova@stuba.sk
Only students who receive acceptation letter for Erasmus exchange can apply for accommodation.
Student houses in Bratislava and Trnava have limited capacities for accommodation. If you fail to get student room in student houses ask for help with alternative accommodation Erasmus Student Network of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (ESN STU)  stuba@esn.sk or esn.stuba@gmail.com or monika.horvathova@stuba.sk.

10. Before arrival to STU in Bratislava
If you feel like any assistance provided by STU students might help you before your arrival, on your arrival or at the beginning of your study, do not hesitate to contact ESN STU)  stuba@esn.sk or esn.stuba@gmail.com or monika.horvathova@stuba.sk.

11. After arrival to STU in Bratislava
Student must visit Student Affairs Office of the faculty and request registration to study. Student will be given registration ID.On the basis of student ID a student will be able to pay for accommodation and to buy student city transport card and daily meals in student canteens. 
International Relations Office can confirm date of arrival to STU in Bratislava on the basis of personal visit of a student to International Relations Office. IRO can confirm date of arrival and gives to a student original of Acceptation Letter and Learning Agreement.
